J. Carl Fox, Ph.D., (retired), a Professor at Oklahoma State University's Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, originally compiled this online image database to aid those engaged in teaching and learning veterinary parasitology. Images were also contributed by Helen E. Jordan, DVM, Ph.D., (retired), Sidney A. Ewing, DVM, Ph.D., (retired), and A. Alan Kocan, Ph.D., (deceased). New, updated images have largely been provided by Eileen Johnson, DVM, Ph. D., clinical parasitologist at Oklahoma State University who retired in 2015, and credit for the beauty of the images on this site goes to her. Tick photos were captured by Steph Heise, DVM, Ph. D., while she was a graduate student at OSU, and Becky Duncan-Decoq, MS also has contributed a number of images using the OSU specimen collection. Also, Dr. Ellis Greiner, Professor Emeritus, University of Florida, Department of Infectious Diseases and Pathology, has graciously shared with the NCVP parasite photographs he has taken and compiled over the years, which are indicated by both an NCVP and a University of Florida (UF) watermark. The parasite image database is highly accessed and has been used by parasitologists and students all over the world. Here we provide an updated site to continue to support veterinary parasitology instruction. The images are available to anyone for educational use in lectures, presentations, or discussions of parasites and parasitic diseases. However, they should not be published or used for commercial purposes. Some images may appear distorted when opened on some devices. If you need an image for publication, please contact us with a specific request through www.ncvetp.org. Please feel free to email us with any suggestions or requests. Enjoy! Drs.
