The following images were originally compiled online by Dr. J. Carl Fox, Ph.D., a former Professor at Oklahoma State University's Center for Veterinary Health Sciences, to aid those engaged in teaching and learning veterinary parasitology. Liberties were taken with parasite grouping to provide a veterinary medical emphasis. Images were also contributed by Dr. Helen E. Jordan, DVM, Ph.D., Dr. Sidney A. Ewing, DVM, Ph.D., Dr. A. Alan Kocan, Ph.D., Dr. Steph Heise, DVM, Ph.D., Becky Duncan-Decoq, MS, and Dr. Eileen Johnson, DVM, Ph.D. Also, Dr. Ellis Greiner, Professor Emeritus at University of Florida, has graciously shared parasite photographs he has taken and compiled over the years which are indicated by both an NCVP and a University of Florida (UF) watermark.
Here we provide an updated site to continue to support veterinary parasitology instruction. The images are available to anyone for educational use in lectures, presentations, or discussions of parasites and parasitic diseases. However, they should not be published or used for commercial purposes. Some images may appear distorted when opened on some devices. If you need an image for publication, please contact us with a specific request at [email protected].
